Haemon's Speech Analysis

Take great pride in and stubbornness can be damaging things, and Haemon touches upon this within his speech to Creon when he attempts to dissuade his father via taking Antigone's life. Employing rhetorical equipment such as develop, ethical, psychological, logical charm, and metaphor, Haemon handles to make a direct impact on Creon's eventual decision as he addresses in Antigone's defense.                  Starting at the beginning of his speech, Haemon ventures to convince Creon to change his mind regarding his harsh ruling against Antigone, not by increasing his words or seeking to beat his " earnest” views in to his father, but by using great courtesy and trying to find a prevalent ground with Creon, probably trying to understanding his dad's position around the matter in front of you.  First, Haemon alleges that explanation is " God's crowning gift to man”, which his dad is " right” to " warn [him]” against losing that reason. He rationally cautions his dad against the attitude of him having all of " the power”, remembering that in the event Creon carries on upon that path he can eventually " turn out” an " empty” person.
